TN Voices: Mental health resources for families
These are programs offered by TN VOICES, the collaborative leader guiding menal health transformation. Many of the services are free, and others accept TennCare, Medicare, TRICARE, and private insurance plans. They also offer need-based assistance and grants for uninsured or underinsured families who meet elibility requirements.

Statewide Family Support Network
SFSN works with families who are parenting a child who is or or is suspected to have a serious emotional disturbance. It provides peer support, connection to resources, mental health information, and training to parents and caregivers across the state, empowering them to successfully navigate the complex child-serving systems to obtain the services necessary for their child with emotional and behavioral disorders. They provide advocacy with schools, DCS, Juvenile Justice, and other systems. It covers all 95 counties with no waitlist. This program can be virtual or in-person. You will be contacted with 72 hours of referral. Services are FREE.

Intensive Care Coordination
ICC is a coordinated behavioral health service delivered in the home for TennCare-enrolled youth under 21 with serious emotional disturbance. It promotes collaboration among professionals, caregivers, and communities to support effective care planning and service coordination. ICC is based on System of Care philosophy and high-fidelity wraparound. It is currently in select counties statewide and growing.

Outpatient Services / Behavioral Health Safety Net
TN VOICES offers psychiatric evaluation, medication management, individual and family counseling, and case management services virtually statewide and in-person at their Goodlettsville and Jackson offices. They serve ages 3+. They accept most private insurance, all TennCare plans, TRICARE, and Medicare plans. They also offer need-based assistance and grants for those who are uninsured/underinsured who meet eligibility requirements. They are currently offering free therapy for pregnant moms statewide.
